Dinosaurs on ice — Antarctica holds prehistoric secrets frozen beneath glaciers and snow.

The dinosaurs found on Antarctica are similar to some of the dinosaur groups found in Australia. These two continents were originally joined together, and did not separate until about 40 million years ago.

A second dinosaur was found near James Ross Island in 1989. Scientists at London's Natural History Museum have been separating the dinosaur bones from the surrounding rock, and they have determined that the skeleton belongs to a relative of Hypsilophodon, a small, swift dinosaur.
